HR Generalist (Singapore)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • This role will provide support to employees and managers throughout the full employment life cycle from recruitment to leaving the company for a range of our employee populations:
  • Pre Day 1 activities include supporting recruitment activity, system administration and, benefit administration and new hire inductions.
  • Post Day 1 activities include administration of family friendly policies such as childcare leave, absence management activities, benefits administration and contractual requests and changes.
  • Customer Service role model. Act as a key point of contact for employee and manager queries on employment, benefits and policies with demonstrable skill at redirecting customers to utilizing self-service/self-help support systems available for their queries.
  • Global Mobility support including contractual administration, localization for international transfers and general HR query handling and support on mobility related items – specifically working through MOM processes/system.
  • Management advisory support. The successful candidate will advise managers on implementation of new and existing policies, managing employees on leaves of absences, compensation, performance and reward management and employee relations issues as appropriate.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for the technology systems employed by the HR Services  team (including, Sharepoint, Knowledge Base, Service Exchange and Workday).
  • Responsible for the collection, recording and storage of employee files in both hard and soft copy. Responsible for auditing information in our records and systems to ensure our data is accurate and compliant for local legislation needs.
  • This role would suit a candidate who already has experience in HR but will add to that experience as it gives exposure across the HR spectrum on a multi-national level.

Required Skills:

  • Strong HR candidate who has an experience in working in the shared service model.
  • Someone who might have worked with more than two countries, especially in greater China.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Be competent HR professional with background in HR generalist support.
  • Be able to work in a matrix organization with workflow arriving from a number of different cultures in different teams.
  • Have proven experience as a confident and influential communicator working with managers and employees at all levels in the organization including global colleagues.
  • Proven experience in a HR administration position.
